Training Options:
Windmill Ranch offers a variety of individualized programs to fit Rider and Horse needs and schedules. A fine blend of classical training methods, sound horsemanship and good-natured-humor, training at Windmill Ranch produces happy, harmonious and winning Rider/horse combinations. If you don’t see a program below that suits your current needs, contact us and we will be happy to discuss additional options that may be available.
Full Training:
Our full training program is designed to improve riding skills, build confidence and accomplish personal goals. The full training program provides for rides 5 times a week. You can take these as a combination of flat and jump lessons and trainer rides. This program is recommended for green horses and rider and horses in show training. View PDF for Pricing.
Half Training:
Our half training program is designed for horse owners who desire a “low key” experience. It provides for a combination of two lessons or trainer rides a week and is recommended for fully trained horses, or horses that need minor but regular “tune-up”. View PDF for Pricing
Lessons:
Our lesson day and times are decided by and centered on our client’s schedule. Please call Irene to set a time for your next lesson! View PDF for Pricing
Board:
Boarding is provided by and paid to Diamond Hills. Our clients board their horses in the 17 stall barn with attached paddocks, the “mare motel” or in the spacious pastures. Contact Janine Hill (510-714-5587) for details on boarding arrangements.
Veterinary and Farrier Care
Dr. Cory Soltau has been our vet for a long time. Dr. Soltau specializes in equine lameness and sports medicine. As well as having a strong background in the reproductive and dental aspects of equine veterinary medicine. You can schedule an appointment through Irene or call Cory yourself. (925-831-3450)
We have been happy to use Mason Farrier Service for almost 10 years! Clients can schedule their horses to be worked on via the whiteboard or call Andrea or Chris for service. (925-454-0880).
